Standard & Poor’s Reaffirms ACE’S A+ Financial Strength Ratings; Outlook Remains Stable

ZURICH, Switzerland – October 18, 2008 – ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE) announced today that on Friday, October 17, Standard & Poor's reaffirmed all of ACE's financial strength and counterparty credit ratings. All of the company’s S&P ratings, including its A+ Financial Strength rating for the core operating companies, were reaffirmed. S&P also confirmed that the outlook on all ACE companies remains stable.
