Carol Dennis Appointed Vice President and Program Manager for ACE Westchester Specialty Group-Programs

PHILADELPHIA - July 24, 2003 - ACE INA today announced that it has appointed Carol Dennis to the position of Vice President and Program Manager for ACE Westchester Specialty Group. Based in Philadelphia, Ms. Dennis will be heading an initiative to develop ACE-underwritten programs for ACE Westchester Specialty Group-Programs.

"We are pleased to welcome Carol to ACE," said Susan Woodward, Senior Vice President, Special Programs, ACE Westchester Specialty Group. "Carol brings to this position the depth of knowledge and industry background and market experience that will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our strategic goals."

Ms. Dennis was most recently Director of Disability Product Management for CIGNA Group Insurance, where she was responsible for group disability insurance products and self-insured administrative services. She has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience serving in a variety of roles in operations management, underwriting, product development and marketing with CIGNA Corporation and The PMA Group.

Ms. Dennis holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) designation.
